How it works
Stop by a location
Visit one of our VITA locations with your 2025 tax paperwork and valid forms of identification ready.
Drop off documents
A member of our VITA team will help you fill out a few intake forms and securely deliver your tax documents to an IRS-certified tax preparer.
Your taxes are prepared & filed
Within a week, one of our tax specialists will call you to review your return, officially submit your tax filing electronically, and provide you with all of your tax documents and filing paperwork. That's it!
When is this happening?
Every Tuesday and Thursday* during tax season at participating Southern Bancorp locations. Super Saturday events will also feature free tax filing, along with many other free services.

What to bring
Photo ID
Driver's license, State ID, etc.
Proof of Charitable or Church Contributions
Bank records, written acknowledgments, etc.
Proof of Marketplace Healthcare Coverage
This comes in the form of the 1095-A document.
Proof of Other Deductions
Bank records, written acknowledgments, etc.
Income Documents
1099, W-2, Pay Stubs, etc.
Social Security Card or ITIN
The physical document is required.
